Description:
This is an Instagram campaign for Roma Uvarov Design for the launch of his new FW2021 collection. Roma Uvarov is a young Russian designer with a provocative approach of “craziness with an idea”. He reconsiders reality through a mix of eclecticism, sustainabilty, and Russian tradition. The purpose of the campaign is to draw attention to Roma Uvarov Design's new collection. It was displayed digitally during the pandemic as a short film where Roma talks about the inspiration for his new collection. Roma Uvarov Design FW2021 Digital Fashion Week.
Concept and visual representation:
The
campaign's motto is "Where is Roma?". It
will
be launched in December 2020 and will
consist
of three images and two Instagram stories. Images
will
show
typical Christmas
narratives:
first snow, a
snowman,
a
boy
in winter
clothes.
Roma himself is not in the picture, but he is
there indeed.
He
is connected through various garments from his new collection that
are used in the campaign: shoes, sweater, and accessories. Where is Roma, and what is
he doing?
Followers are invited to find out by watching Instagram stories with insights into Rome's new FW2021 collection. The
styling of
images and
text reflects
Roma's
love of the absurd and the childish.
They also refer to the designer’s Soviet
identity, which is often used in his collections. Stories, on the other hand, has soft summer
colours. They resonate with the digital presentation made in the same colour palette.References:
